Metastatic inflammatory breast cancer
I was first diagnosed with inflammatory breast cancer in 2000. It reoccurred three times between then and 2011. Once in my left lung, once in my left ovary, once in my left chest wall. I was cancer free from approx. 2012-2020, when I was diagnosed with osteosarcoma. I have been cancer free from Oct. 2021 until today. The inflammatory breast cancer has now metastasized to my liver.

I cannot imagine how difficult it is to have gone through all of this, I noticed on your other discussion that you also lost your mom.
All of these things just make it all harder to muddle through the current diagnosis.
I looked because I knew there was another discussion about metastatic inflammatory breast cancer, so I am giving you a link to that discussion.

@colleenyoung might decide to merge this but you can connect with other with inflammatory survivors in that discussion.
Are they recommending any treatment plan for you yet?
You've been through so much! I'll keep you in my prayers tonight that God will give you strength and your treatment will be successful. XOXO.
Still waiting to hear what protocol will take place. Thank you so much for your kind words, and the link.
Gloria, you are an amazing survivor and thriver! Praying that you will go over this newest hurdle and win once again. You're a strong lady. My heart goes out to you with so many battles. Blessings to you. Thanks for sharing.
I so appreciate your kind encouragement. Thank you so much! Gloria
I have stage 4 metastatic inflammatory breast cancer. In 2023 I had stage 3 IBC. After treatment, I was told that I was cancer free. It did not take much time to come back, even though I was on oral cancer medication. I had radiation for 1o days to begin treatment. I am now receiving Enhertu infusions. I have had only 1 infusion so far. The side effects are for me, extreme nausea, and extreme fatigue. The symptoms only lasted 4 days, and after that I felt good, really.
I truly hope you get the best care and treatment. It can be devastating but what helps me, is to take one day at a time. Otherwise it can be overwhelming. God bless you. Hoping for “remission” for us all dealing with this disease. ( I am new to this blog, glad to find it!).
My IBC has metastasized to my liver and spine. I had to have the tumor removed from my spine and now have metal rods and screws. The surgery was excruciating, but now am recovering. It took mine only 2 years to return. I was hoping for a longer time!
