Hello!
I began getting cortisone shots in my knees last spring, and have had them multiple times since.
11 days after first round of shots, I started my period after being 2 years into menopause.
The orthopedist and clinic had never heard of this. My doctor had never heard of this. After multiple tests and biopsies it was determined to be a side effect.
I had shots last week, and guess what started when I woke up today?!
There is so little information on this correlation - but I'm here to tell you, it exists.
It is a bummer side effect, but it is worth it so I can move comfortably. Hot flashes, maxi pads and all 🙂
