I don't need any additional treatment. My cancer was removed and, so far, all subsequent CT Scans are stable and negative. I have to deal with my mental health. I have not been coping well. Instead of doing things to help myself, I'm not exercising, eating as well as I used to, vaping medical marijuana for my RSD pain. I'm not handling life well. I attend both a Zoom Women's Group & an Eating Disorders Group weekly, but I stopped seeing my therapist privately. It's as if I don't care anymore.
@lynguist- I'm so sorry to hear how depressed you are. I was very depressed after the surgery. It's a very common symptom after surgery. And I can understand feeling numb, mentally. This is the best time to go to counseling when you care the least.
It's excellent news that your scans are stable. It's a big deal to go through anticipation, the scans and all other tests and then the big day comes and there is surgery. Then a stay in the hospital and then home, and boom! No personal attention and you have to be by yourself without all the attention and oohs and ahs. It's tough. Then at home, you think about your own life, your own survival and other life questions. It's almost impossible not to stop caring.
I'm glad that you are continue your eating disorder group and women's group. Perhaps you can discuss this with them and let them help you break your dam so that you can move on. What do you think?

Hi Merry. Thanks for your very valid feedback.
I am 3 years post-surgery, but the Guillain-Barre hospitalization, subsjequent rehab, & then home alone on high steroids for 3 1/2 months, over the course of the Pandemic was he worst combination of negative factors one could face.
I'm joining the Gym tonight.

Hi @whahoo, from what I've read Keytruda is being used with success in some early-stage lung cancers. The Keytruda is used after another treatment has been completed, usually surgery. This helps to eliminate any cancer cells that may have found their way out of the initial tumor or past the lymph nodes.
Keytruda is not applicable for patients with EGFR or ALK mutations. So, it doesn't apply to all early-stage NSCLCs.
@lynguist, that's great news. I hope you continue to feel better, it's so hard to drag ourselves out of that low place. It sounds like you are taking steps in the right direction.
I have a full gym in my den. Don't use it. I'm on Long Island, NY. I'm joining Lifetime tomorrow...
Why Keytruda for Stage 1B?

@lynguist- Good for you. Perhaps you can get some private lessons to get you going and make sure that your form is correct?
I plan on it. I'm going this morning.
I went and I was so happy. I sweat for the first time in 4 years. It feels so uplifting (no pun intended, haha).
Excellent!
