@drs22
So good to hear that you have been doing well after your pituitary surgery!
Once it was clear that my daughter had Cushing’s we found an excellent endocrinologist who did the necessary testing and referred her to a university with a dedicated pituitary team.

Matt my husband first started with his pituitary tumor 6 years ago. It’s been a journey of surgeries and radiation. It’s is finally gone but he has residual problems. In our case we were only told about one way to treat which was going up thru your nose yo remove. After 2 unsuccessful surgeries and radiation, we found a different doctor who did a cranial surgery and finally got it removed. Just make sure you find out all the options even if it means going to 2 or 3 docs for opinions!! I don’t want to over share since everyone’s case is a little different!

I will have proton beam radiation and was informed by my radiologist oncologist that the risk of damage of the pituitary gland is 40%, which is quite high.
Would like to hear if any other women in this group have had pituitary gland issues, and what problems caused. I understood and have read that it regulates the production and release of several hormones, which can be replaced with medications.
Thank you!

I had my lung biopsy on Wednesday and my consultation with endocrine on Thursday so really "washed out" now. At biopsy it was found I also have a chest infection so now taking antibiotics for that. I should get biopsy results next week. Endocrine did not see anything wrong with my hormone levels although they have taken further blood samples. Now referred to neurology in 3 weeks time. I will let you know how things progress. Please keep posting especially any symptoms. Thank you Matt.

I will have radiation and was informed by my radiologist of the risk of damage of the pituitary gland but that can be treated with replacement hormones that I will take. I'm set with an endocrinologist in case. Wondering if other have had this and if the replacement hormones have been helpful. Thak you.
