Has anyone have vaginal neuropathy

What age group do you fall into? I'm asking because, my experience is that doctors don't want to hear about vaginal pain and discomfort with women over 65(ish). They use terms like, "It's something you need to learn to live with," "It comes with age," "The skin is thinning . . . ."

@vivianburns I am 55 and have been told similar things... "part of getting older", "something you need to learn to live with". 4 gyns later I found one who listened. I have pelvic floor dysfunction and also use estrogen cream. Because I spent so much time sitting improperly due to vaginal discomfort I now have hip problems and I am getting ready to start PT for that. I urge women to keep pushing the doctors for answers. Women's healthcare needs drastic improvement especially training in care for women over 50 and the menopause years.

I am 71. I am fortunate to have a uro-gynecologist who is female and ONLY treats post-menopausal women.

This is ridicules! I am 80 years old, and my Mayo doctors take me serious. I used estrogen cream every 3 days, and had two sessions of pelvic floor phys. therapy. Between the cream and the therapy, I can live a mostly free of pain normal life.
I am a doctor myself, and if a doctor would say this to me, I would chew them out like crazy!
Nobody has to live with pain and discomfort if it can be prevented easily!

I overcame that problem by joining treatments of BHRT or Bio Hormone Replacement Therapy. I went with the Biote line. Already 9 years and I don’t know where would I be if it wasn’t for this. It is compound medicine and not all doctors
support it. Am 70 yrs old going on 60 …
