Stage 4 pancreatic cancer progression: Don't know what to expect
My husband 63 was diagnosed in March stage four pancreatic cancer that has spread to the liver.
We have gone through the first six treatments
Now we are going every three weeks which he is tolerating much better
I’ve read life expectancy is six months. Next month is six months, but I believe he will go beyond that.
He had no prior health problems
Oh, I would like to know what to expect? How rapid or gradual he will go?
He is still mobile. Has issues with dizziness and lately balance.
I would like to know others experiences of what to expect
Thank you in advance for any information

Only God can predict our end. The doc at Mayo gave me 11 months with chemo and after 35 treatments with Abraxane & gemcitabine I am still here 13 months later 🙂 So made it into the 3% that make it past one year. I too, have balance issues due to the neuropathy in my feet. Just have to be more careful. Typing can be an issue since the neuropathy has gone to my hands too! I was diagnosed stage 4 non-operable pancreatic cancer and I am now 73. Still mobile & active but not as good as prior to chemo. There are times when you get melancholy, but keep a good attitude, eat well and ask for prayers! I think prayers have helped a lot. I was not feeling sick when diagnosed. Had some mid back pain but was told it was arthritis. Just a fluke by asking for follow up CT from quitting smoking and had tried to be in a VA study years ago. That started what turned into a whirlwind ending up with pancreatic cancer diagnosis.
Best prayers for you & your husband. You both deserve that!
Keeping you in my prayers
