Hair Loss wig ordered

Just diagnosed with Polymyalgia Rheumatica. My hair is thinning rapidly. It does look like straw.
I have no idea what this disease actually is or does. An awful try at taking prednisone attacked me and had to
get off of it after 4 days. Now I am experiencing loud tinnitus. Just to let you know this is new to me and don't know where it is heading.

My hair was also falling out, no one seem to be too concerned, but me. I went to a DO and he gave me a prescription for finasteride 1 mg per day. Also, when I washed my hair, I put minoxidil at the roots I used a hair growth shampoo Now, my hair has a lot of new growth which is about 5 to 6 inches long. I can’t believe how much hair I have.

How long did it take to regrow new hair? I’m having the same issue, PMR, tinnitus, vas Ulithi s, etc. and my hair is even thinner than it used to be. I didn’t know there was a prescription drug for thinning hair.

A year into PMR and Prednisone, I began losing hair by the handful. My doctor told me that hair loss is often associated with any illness and assured me that it would stop. Just as I was planning on buying a wig, my hair loss did stop. My hair has always been very thick and has grown back to almost it's former thickness. So don't give up!

My very thick curly hair thinned out with symptoms of PMR and GCA and stayed thin while I was on prednisone to manage the disorder. I've been off prednisone about 10 months and my hair has come back, as thick as before.

I am loosing some hair, Methotrexate side efect.

When my hair started falling out while taking Methotrexate my doctor doubled my dose of folic acid from 1mg to 2mg. I also started using shampoo for thinning hair. My hair stopped falling out.
