Hi @farahgeo1, I just wanted to make sure you’ve seen the reply @amyb5 posted for you about a deep vein thrombosis (blood clot). Here is the link for you: https://connect.mayoclinic.org/comment/916122/

It would be important for you to have your leg checked so you don’t run the risk of a blood clot.

As for diet and discipline, I hear you! Haha that was my challenge years ago too. It’s really tough losing weight.
I have been able to keep pounds off now by modifying my diet. For years my husband and I have followed the Mediterranean diet with healthy fats, grains, protein but even then I would cheat and have foods not so healthy for me.
About a year ago, I got serious to get my lipid panel under control. I dropped my daily limit of saturated fats down to 5gm and reducing excess starch/sugar from my diet really helped! My numbers plummeted…along with that I shed 10 pounds with no effort!
I read package labels to check saturated fat and carb levels. If I have a sandwich, the bread or wrap is made with whole grains and no saturated fats. Little things like can make a big difference.
I wish you well on your weight loss journey and hopefully no more leg cramps! Keep me posted ok?

All too many diseases and health issues originate in the most basic of our daily behaviors such as WHAT we eat (and how and where and when and importantly WHY cuz often it's Not hunger of the body but of the mind / soul / spirit /meaning-in-life). For myself I ask of me often: Is THIS how u wanna spend your time? because it will impact your tomorrow Too.

And how much we use body for PLAY, aka physical activity. Walk comes handy often but I also for fun wud go all 14 floors on my 80 y.o. frame, huffing puffing the last few for the heck of it finding my pulse going from 60 to over 140. Yes, I know my limits cuz I, like my cat, respect my limits.

And, it's mostly driven by the desire to be not wake up tomorrow and find: Damn! I wasted good part of yesterday WITHOUT thinking thru, aka CBT.
