Enzalutamide (Xtandi): Anyone have experience with this drug?

RP in 2004. Over the past few years PSA has been rising. On Lupron for the last 12+ months. Bone scan in Jan of 2022 indicated cancer has spread to pelvic area bones. Bone scan in Jan of 2023 indicates it is slowly spr3eading.Dr. is putting me on Xtandi next week. I am curious if anyone out there has been on this drug. Sounds like I will stay on Lupron also. Before the Lupron started a year ago my PSA was 67. believe II may be having problems again with Pancreatic cancer (Whipple in early 2019). Regardless, life is good. I have complete trust in my Oncologist.

I'm new to this so here we go. PSA of 1717 10 biopsy done all (3+4) 1 (4+3) puts my Gleason at 7 it has metastasized to lymph nodes spot on lung possibly spot on liver to small to tell in pelvis shoulder ribs and a few other spots. On my second lupron shot wich has upset my stomach alittle. Start 2 80mg xtandi in the morning and was wondering if the xtandi has bothered anybody much. Also curious if anybody else on here is in this shape. I'm 62 and pretty healthy but afraid with these numbers things are going to get worse. Any input would be appreciated. Thank You

Fatigue is the most difficult. But why start with half dose?

I've been on Xtandi for 7 months, Lupron at regular intervals for 9 months prior and intermitent another 4 years prior to that. The hot flashes dimnished after the first several years of Lupron.
The Xtandi is a great drug, having driven my PSA to near zero. In addition to some fatigue, I've experincd sour stomach, but diet adjustments are helping. While I was never a bear, the Xtandi has virtually elimnated body hair, excepting that on my head and face.

I took Xtandi for 26 months. Excellent drug. Had fatigue, hot flashes and edema of extremities. Side effects are expected. Remember that your testosterone levels need to be at castration range (less than 50) to help control the cancer and that is what is likely causing your hot flushes. Fatigue is a common side effect of Xtandi. Expect a major drop in your PSA with this treatment. Wish you the best. Stay strong.

PSA went up to 9.8 Xtandi with no side effects brought it down to 1.7 Its 3.0 now so some concern

78 feeling great Zolodex and Xgeva 3 month shots L1 radiate in 2020 L@ has 1 inch but too close to radiate they say

2017 prostate radiated 40 sets

Thank you hopping this brings my numbers down. As for body hair I don't care if it all goes as long as it can give me more years to my life and hopefully a cure will be found in them extra years. Good luck with your treatments.

Some fatigue drink water push yourself out the door I had little fatigue On it 9 month snow

On no treatment. Finished 5 sessions of radiation due to a lymph node seen in PSMA PET SCAN that caused PSA to go up to 1.1. Getting another PSA at end of this month.
