Does nebulizing saline have any effect on kidney stone formation?

Is there any concern about breathing saline mist through a nebulizer and the formation of kidney stones? Less sodium in the body helps keep kidney stones from forming? Thanks

I have no idea about this but you can control how much salt you take in. I read here that nebulizing salt adds about 120 mg of salt if every bit of it is absorbed (unlikely) so by cutting out food containing 120 mg salt you should be back to what you normally intake. There are programs on line that you can track your salt intake but a person must have at least 600 mg a day to be safe. Salt is an electrolight (sp) and important for health.
