Chemo vacation update
Update on my chemo vacation:
My oncologist agreed that an extra week to recover from my 5th session of folfiri-Vectribix was a good idea. It gave my body an opportunity to recover and helped me emotionally. My oncologist informed me I still needed 5 more session but my markers were down from 20 to 4 and he would consider reducing the chemo by 20 percent.
I’m on my 6th session of chemo after my oncologist reduced it by 20 percent. Recovery has been quicker, my tongue and mouth have started to heal as well has the dry skin on hands and feet. I still suffer from irregular bowel movements and the urge to go often. This might sound gross but I Googled “is it safe to spray water in your bum with jet spay from shower head?”
Believe it or not there is a lot of information on it. I tried it, it gave some relief. It cleans my bum and also made it easier to pass the poop.
I wish I could find a routine to recover the stayed the same. It seems everyday is an experiment to feel better.

There is a hand held bidet sprayer that is sold on Amazon. It is easy to attach to your toilet, & has been immensely helpful for me, as I had chemo & radiation for anal rectal cancer. You might look into it.
