Do you have an inspiring or favorite quote to share?
I'll start with three quotes from the very inspiring Helen Keller as noted in "Your Year of Healing" book by Amit Sood, MD:
"Although the world is full of suffering, it is also full of the overcoming of it."
"The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched -- they must be felt with the heart."
"Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much."

in reply to @psychoticnonconformist I am so sorry to hear of your dilemma. I was in a similar situation many years ago and was able to discuss the situation with the lender. However, the house did end up in a short sale, so I understand your fear of losing your home. Perhaps a family member could help? I would hope that with just 2 payments left, the lender would grasp your situation and offer you a solution that is mutually beneficial. What about a "Go Fund Me" account?
Oh title Inspiring Quote - I had "lost" this section just wanted to share a one-liner from front of book I opened last night I thought was good, may be an old one but I had never seen before:
"Life can only be understood backwards, but it must be lived forwards."
Gosh, if only we had even a hint of the future !!! We can make decisions based on the past, on gut feelings, on instinct.. but have no idea of what will happen. And although my life can be "understood" looking back, I still have no idea why I made the decisions I did!
The happiest people don't have the best of everything,
they just make the best of everything they have.
One of my Mum's sayings I recall from long time ago:
What you lose on the swings you gain on the round-about
@lacy2 backwards/forwards is a good quote!
I heard a Michael Jackson song yesterday that made me reflect (again) re: “Change”:
I’m starting with the man in the mirror
I’m asking him to change his ways
And no message could have been any clearer
If you wanna make the world a better place
Take a look at yourself and then make a change
“Some days it’s just not worth gnawing through the straps.”

@dbeshears1 Thank you for this timeless reminder.”Take a look at yourself and then make a change.” My loving wife of 54 years sometime tease me about looking back at my successes. I ‘m a blessed man and had some good successes. But I have had some colossal failures too. One of my thoughts is “Don’t rehearse the hurts”. Life is to short and sweet!
...that's me: unhappy!
The Train of Life
At birth we board the train and meet our parents We believe they will always travel by our side; however, at some station our parents will step down from the train.
Throughout our life, other people will board the train and some will be significant (e.g., our siblings, friends, children and even the love of our life). Many will step down and leave a permanent vacuum. Others will vacate their seats unnoticed. This train ride will be full of joy, sorrow, fantasy, expectations, hellos and goodbyes.
Success consists of having a good relationship with all passengers requiring that we give the best of ourselves.
The mystery to everyone is that we do not know at which station we ourselves will step down. So, we must live in the best way, love, forgive and offer the best of who we are.
It is important to do this because when the time comes for us to step down and leave our seat empty, we should leave behind beautiful memories for those who will continue to travel on the train of life without us.
I wish you a joyful journey for the remaining years on your train of life. Reap success, give lots of love and be happy. Be grateful and make the best of your journey. Thank you for being one of the passengers on my train. --Author Unknown
