I would assume it's because I have already had a Reclast infusion. I went from Prolia for 6 years to Reclast for the first time last year. Due to the significant amount of bone loss on my bone density scan this time, she thinks I should rebuild bone and then sustain it with reclast. I actually spoke with her today and she has decided I can do another round of reclast and then see if I can get another bone density scan (even tho it will be 1 year instead of 2), and then give me more time to think about the Evenity because she knows how afraid I am. We will then talk in February to decide if I should go on the Evenity. Sounds pretty positive that will be her plan because I need to gain the bone. After Evenity she would then put me back on Reclast again to sustain it. She told me about another injection that you would give yourself every day, but I said no to that instantly so I'm not sure if that is the Tymlos or Forteo you are talking about. I cannot give myself a shot. Is that what those meds are you are talking about?

Yes Tymlos and Forteo are both daily injections, but the Tymlos pen has "clicks" so you can control the dose. Full dose is 8 clicks and I started with 2 and worked up to 6 or 7 and still had tremendous gains. These last months I am doing the full 8. The injections are no big deal- like brushing my teeth. Small needle on a pen. You pinch up, stick it in, and push a button to release the med. You have many choices!
