Why am I passing bloody golf ball size clots, skin-like discharge?

Often I pass huge bloody clots but when I use a tampon nothing's on it. My tubes have been tied 13 years. Periods are a nightmare. Sometimes I use ultra super size tampons with a pad,and stand up off toilet and can't make it out the door without soaking threw ,like major flowing. Periods last about 3 days,but sometimes I skip 2-4 months without having one. I'm 44 yrs old and last year I experienced the worst stomach pain ever,and after trips by ambulance to 4 different hospitals,they used a scope and discovered rupturing cyst on my ovaries. I'm not in pain now,but these black/ dark reddish clots are getting bigger and my stomach looks like I'm 7 months pregnant and never goes down. I'm afraid it's more cyst,tumor,or even cancer. I haven't seen a Dr since the rupturing cyst last year around Nov. Has anyone ever experienced this before. ? I don't have female friends and my mother has passed,so I haven't had any advise or opinions.

I really think it would be best if you could see a doctor. Is there a reason you've not been able to?

I don't know what the cause could be. My experience is limited to what I've dealt with myself, and what I've heard from only a few other women, and we are all so different. Heavy bleeding can be lots of things. One relative had a period that wouldn't end after having her thyroid removed. A friend had heavy, sporadic periods with her PCOS, and someone else I know had especially heavy periods right before her menopause. So to figure out exactly what is going on with you specifically, you'd probably need to see a professional who can do some testing and so on.

Definitly time to see a docter. Either your primary or a gynecologist. It might be endometriosis or something more serious. I use to have periods like you descriped and suffered with endometriosis for years, a large cycst on ovary and eventually a hysterectomy to resolve problem. But never had the enlarged stomach you descriped.

Only a provider can diagnosis. Do not delay, call and make an appt immediatly. They will proably start with physcial exam and some imaging.

Hello, Heathershelton44, I’m sorry to hear that this is happening for you. I would feel incredibly frightened if that was happening to me. I agree that getting in to be seen by your gynecologist as an urgent appointment would be wise, if for no other reason than that you deserve to be reassured immediately if this is not a serious problem. When my post-menopausal spotting began I was frightened, because my sister had just had surgery for endometrial cancer. My primary provider, who had monitored my gyn health told me I needed to go to a gynecologist. I didn’t even have a gynecologist and it was early in the pandemic. I called around to the practices in my state and left messages. Some never called me back at all. One, on the other side of my state and over a mountain range, three hours away, offered me an appointment the very next day. I took it, had a biopsy done, and was relieved that it was only a polyp (which was smaller than what you’re seeing, but could be described similarly). But she also did an ultrasound and noted a slight thickening of my uterine lining that she said we could monitor if the polyp was benign. It was.

I wish you swift arrangement of an appointment with a good GYN who can help you sort this out and answer any questions you have about this. I hope your outcome is reassuring for you, as well! I will keep you in my thoughts.

And you may need to talk to a few different providers to find someone who can help you figure this out. Sadly, I've heard many stories of women being brushed off with these kinds of difficulties, even sometimes by gynecologists. If that happens, I hope you can get a second, a third opinion, whatever it takes.
I understand your worry, and I do think it would be good to get in to see someone. I found one link that says sometimes this kind of thing can be rather benign, but better to get it checked out just in case.

@heathershelton44, I'm checking in. Have you been able to see your primary doctor? Or make an appointment with a gynecologist?

I have not. So many personal issues going on plus moving I just haven't. But when things settle down I plan on it. Thanks for checking.
