Severe Burning Pain after Knee Replacement
Had Total Knee Replacement 4/1/18 at VA. No PT ordered. Was on my own doing rehab exercises. Pain has not subsided. Using a crutch. Taking pain meds. Exhaustion sleep. Severe constant burning in left front knee. What is wrong?

I was so nervous about getting mine too and for good reason. It is day 3 and it is still very swollen. Only using one crutch instead of two. The pain is still bad and it’s hard to bend. Not sure if it is going to help in the long run. Hope so. Are you going for the mua?
I had tkr April 2017. So 5 years out and still burning pain. Original surgeon said nothing wrong looking at xrays. Went to another surgeon and he said same thing. He said if he does revision- afraid it will have same results. Went to 3rd surgeon and he said go back to original surgeon. I did and he said I should go to Pain Clinic. That Dr wanted me to have all the nerves in that knee deadened. Went to referring Dr and he said No! I don’t want to be on pain meds for the rest of my life. I’m not sure where to turn next. Maybe Mayo Clinic. I had partial knee replacement in 2018, and that knee is fine.
I have had a similar experience.
My TKR was Jan 2018. My mobility is good but the burning pain is always there.
I use ice packs 3 or 4 times a day and they help. Went to a pain specialist and he did some injections but no relief. I have had 2 nerve blocks also.
I am currently looking for a massage therapist that can do deep tissue massages.
Let us know if you find relief!
I would go to pain clinic
I have both of my meniscus torn and it’s been that way for awhile. I have many area’s that has pain, neck, shoulders, neuropathy. My question is my knee twice now has somehow pulled out of the socket and the pain sent into a pain that I have never experienced. Anyone that has had knee replacement or any other surgery that has helped. Please give me some advice, I have been on pain medication for 12 years and it only knocks it down to a 4. Please get back to me too help guide me to making a good decision. Thanks
I had a Total Knee Replacement over four years ago. I still have pain, stiffness, and burning. I went back to the surgeon and was told that this is normal. Four years later??
