Anyone take new drug Camzyos (mavacamten) for HCM?

Thank you for your reply! I am surprised to hear you experience rapid heart rate on Camzyos. I have always had a rapid heart rate, but had no idea it could become even more rapid! I've only been on this med for two weeks. I do realize I need to advocate for myself. I do need to be more aware of my LVOT and EF as well as other things. I hope you learn more from your stress ECHO.

I hope your heart rate doesn’t increase. Before I started Camzyos I was on Diltiazem because my heart rate really increased upon exertion. When I started Camzyos I had to get off Diltiazem. My cardologist does not attribute my current increased rate to Camzyos. He says it’s because I am off Diltiazem. But, palpitations are listed as a serious side effect of Camzyos that you should notify your doctor of immediately. So I did and he put me on a low dose of Metoprolol.

Taking Camzyos is a road that is not well traveled. We are figuring it out as we go. I pray you don’t have any bumps in your road.
