Thanks, but what I was trying to say is that I don't think my hot spells are hot flashes. I am 84 and the hot spells are not happening right now. I had a TIA this week and was in the hospital. I also have an infection. I don't sweat. I am drinking more water now. Dorisena
@dorisena I am sorry that you had a TIA this week. Are you feeling better? Are you currently at home?
I am at home and studying on the web. One article said I would probably have a stroke within three months. I am very upset by not much advice from the doctors, probably because I am 84. I need to take some time and cook some veggies. I have fresh tomatoes, peppers, okra, beets and cabbage in the garden. I can skip the butter and the hamburger for a while but walking very far is a problem. I can pull weeds, but I don't sweat. Dorisena
@dorisena So sorry you had a TIA . Glad your home and sound better . Any kind of movement is better then nothing . Just do what you can . Keep moving though .
Thanks, Lioness. I am going back to my massage lady who is also a nurse now and have her work on my back so I can walk further and hope the exercise will keep the blood pressure, diabetes, and cholesterol down to good levels. I have not been seeing the chiropractor for some time now and he couldn't do much anymore for my back anyway, but he cheered me up and encouraged me well. I am not done on this earth, yet! Dorisena
@dorsiena. You keep going for a long time you have a good outlook 👍🙏😷
I had a TIA 25 yrs ago, got bp under control, on a migraine maintenance, reduced stress, doing good. Don’t worry.
I had prostate surgery and was having severe hot flashes. I started taking 2 40 mg megestrol (megace) tablets per day. It eliminated my hot flashes. You might want to try them. Please check with your doctor and be sure it will not react with any other medications you are taking before trying them. Good luck with your hot flashes whatever you decide to do.
Hoping for some advice or see if other women have experienced success with HRT, but then out of nowhere it stops working and hot flashes return. Estrogen levels tested in normal range for post menopause HRT. So no clue what to do next.
Isn't this autonomic nervous system causing sweating.
