Diagnosed with 5 mm tumor in pyriform sinus
Have to wait until Nov 29th to see my ENT. Gastro found the tumor. Seems like the only growths in this area are carcinomas. Has anyone beat pyriform sinus cancer and how?

Yes I have my questions ready. I have read some research regarding this cancer.
I am just praying they will be able to treat. ENT says inoperable so have lots of questions.
Good for you. Keep in mind that inoperable doesn't mean untreatable. Radiation and chemo are often viable treatment options. But I'm sure you know that from your research.
I'll be thinking of you tomorrow and be interested in hearing what you learn.
Thank you. I will let you know
Hello @preyn. I am a 64-year-old-woman, diagnosed with Pyriform Sinus cancer in 2018. If you go onto my profile, I have written extensively about my journey. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. It is a slow journey to recover the functions of the throat after treatment, yet is very possible with throat exercises, and the best one of all...time. Please research "Red Light Therapy," as it has proven to help radiated tissue. I utilized a small, inexpensive wand twice-a-day during my radiation treatments, by waving it inside my throat and mouth area. The main thing that helped me greatly was prayer. Best wishes to you and your husband in this journey.
Thank you so much. I will read about your journey.
We are living on the prayers of our family, friends and who ever else will pray.
I will add you to my prayer list.
@preyn, thank-you so much.
Hello @preyn, I am just checking in with you that all is going OK with your husband so far. I believe the tumor was pea sized, about 5mm which certainly shows it was caught early.
Let me know if you have any questions. Just thinking about you.
Hi Thank you for checking.
My husband’s primary is throat - velucula area. He is spread to neck lymph nodes, near Stenocleismoastoid, and jugular. PET Scan showed NO distant Mets all in neck area.
Had mediport done aug 11. Waiting to hear from Medical Onc for Chemo start date.
I like to read to get an idea of what to expect. This is hard waiting, thinking of what will happen and yet feeling so strong because he wants to fight hard.
