I just got mine and it's called plant fusion complete protein hopefully I won't have issues with since I've never used any at all
Now my opinion. On garbage protein drinks start with Ensure, then boost because of the insane sugar amounts in both. Funny that Abbott industries which makes my low sugar medical formula also makes Ensure. Can't help that but I can avoid both Ensure and boost like the plague. Both are counter productive for cancer patients
I've checked that app and found it lacking. I couldn’t find his reasoning determining his choice of a thumbs up or down.
I went with Orgrain Organic. It was highly rated on several health sites. And was affordable.

Absolutely!!’ My Gastro dr recommended Orgain to me too and it is delicious. It is a mainstay in my journey that is EPI, and I am thankful. I do not sell it but highly recommend Orgain.
I’ve heard the same about Orgain, though I haven’t tried it. Great to know it’s an option!
This isn’t directed at you specifically; I just happened to tap reply and now I’m thinking about this: Everyone’s different and we all need to make our choices about what we feel is appropriate for us. Definitely, in the realm of diet and food, especially when you add an additional complication of chronic health conditions, and on top of that chronic GI conditions, there are varying interpretations about what does and does not constitute “clean” or “healthy” eating. And we each have a different tolerance for which sources we’ll trust, and when what our own bodies will tolerate.
The idea of eating “clean” can be problematic because it can imply that whatever doesn’t fit that definition is somehow “unclean,” and therefore it’s our fault we’re “unhealthy” or in pain, and it’s just not that simple. For example, you’ll never find me eating a giant salad because even if that’s “clean eating,” that volume of raw vegetables and high fiber would wreak havoc on my GI tract.
Anyway, good to know Orgain…and all these plethora of protein shakes exist! Lol. I already said this once but I can’t believe how many options there are now!
Good point. Ya gotta check the sugar content on all of these protein drinks. Fairlife makes one that has 2g of sugar, I think, 30g of protein and is tasty. Anyway, trust but verify.
All good points. I seem to be constipated no matter what I eat - and I do eat pretty well. So I use "gush and push" - Miralax and bisacodyl. I know I take too much bisacodyl, but heh, I gotta go......
And some common sense is also required. I eat a bowl of muesli, bran buds, and top it off with Raisin Bran for some taste. The muesli and bran buds are pretty dull by themselves.
My therapist has a fit because Raisin Bran does have much more sugar, but c'mon, I don't use much and it makes the meal much more tasty. Keep the big picture in mind. And yes, for a lot of people with GI difficulties, diet is a real challenge and very personalized.
As if Raisin Bran is the worst thing you could eat! Lol. I agree with you.
My care team and I take like you said a "big picture" approach. All foods potentially have value in some way at specific times and for different people; it just depends on the situation.
I never developed an eating disorder but struggled with food fear/guilt/anxiety when I developed chronic illness because of all of the different ways society and random people on the street, family members, health care providers, etc. were pushing different things to eat or not to eat. Eventually we concluded that the food confusion was one of the contributing factors to my symptoms. It's something I'm still working on. So I'd say, keep toppin' that bowl off with Raisin Bran 🙂
