Thank you for welcoming me! I was prescribed Mirtazapine by my psychiatrist who I have been seeing for several years. I suffer from Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) , Panic Disorder (PD) and Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD).
I was first diagnosed with MDD and PD in 1996 and was prescribed Zoloft (generic Sertraline). The Zoloft worked well until approximately 1.5 to 2 years ago when I, apparently, developed a tolerance to it and it “pooped out” on me. Since then, my psychiatrist and I have tried Prozac, Lexapro, Wellbutrin, Pristiq, Trintellix, and Citalopram (brand name Celexa). They either didn’t work or I couldn’t tolerate the side effects. I am now on Mirtazapine which I started, at 15 mg, on June 13, 2023, and titrated to 22.5 mg on July 5th, and, then, 30 mg, on July 23rd. Since increasing to 30 mg, I have been experiencing jitteriness and wondered if anyone else has experienced it at this dose (30 mg) and, if so, approximately how long did the jitteriness last? I have a follow-up appointment with my psychiatrist in 3 weeks, but, in the meantime, to help me cope and have a better understanding, I was hoping to find someone who would be willing to share their experience.

I'm in the same boat, loved zoloft while it was working but now struggling to find something similar. I just started on Mirtazapine but already feel very jittery and 'high energy' in a not normal way. Did you find anything that helped you?
