Home Bladder Scanners
Does anyone have any experience with availability of bladder scanners for home use including reliability and cost? I'd like to measure urine retention over time.
Thank you.

Why would you wish to keep track of the amount of urine you’re holding onto after peeing? I cannot believe a doctor prescribed this for you as these machines cost thousands plus you need to understand how to read the scan while you’re doing it. When I was a public health nurse we would straight catheterize patient’s to check for residual urine and track it this way. It’s a pretty odd questions too.
Thank you for the reply and i probably was not clear enough. A home bladder scan was not prescribed for me. I was asking about the possibility, seeing them advertised online, for checking retention from time to time not regularly. I started with a Foley and then switched to self-cathering and then none. With so many procedures done at home, like glucose checking, cpap, covid testing, a bladder scanner seemed a possibility. Scanner are used in hospitals my recent experience tells me so figures home scanners might be useful. I doubt this will go any further. I do appreciate your taking the time to reply and hope my explanation helps you understand the situation better. Thank you.
