I just heard of success w/ a new fusion technique using a CT scan during the operation to treat spondylothentisis (displacement of vertebrae); does anyone know if this treatment can be applied to vertebrae broken due to osteoporosis?

Hello @cynthia1, and welcome to Connect. I moved your discussion and combined it with a very extensive discussion regarding treating osteoporosis in the Bones, Joints & Muscles group on Mayo Clinic Connect. I moved your discussion here because there is a long list of other members talking about treatments for Osteoporosis.

@cynthia1, would you care to talk a little bit more about the fusion technique you have heard about? What is the technique called? Is it a treatment that you have discussed with your physician?
