Is any one else getting teaser days?
I've had this Covid Crud for the past 7 months now. Most day's are brain fog, no energy, fevers, constipation, All the same crap we all suffer with.
Once in a while I will wake up and for no reason feel fantastic like" It's finally gone" then BOOM. Back to crap. I've had it happen 4 different times. The first time lasted 3 day's, then it was gone. The next time was 6 straight day's of it's gone, then it's back, Then one day once and two day's once. I call these day's teasers. Satin is picking on me with candy.
JUst would like to know if this happens to any one else. OH, before I go back to bad, that evening I become extremely irritable, so I know it's coming back.

Yes, I get that also. I always say that I never know what body I am going to wake up with. And then sometimes, I have "teaser" hours. The waves of symptoms/symptom free can be very demoralizing. They provide a window of what life could be again, and then slammed shut.

2 ReactionsI have to treat the teasers like a good chocolate malt. I can't wait to get on but when you've finished it life sucks again. BUT I do do look forward to the next one.
Oh yes nice to have a name for it! It is sooo nice when it happens . Since the end of January that’s my life! My brother passed away and it was an awful relapse so the brain has really been changed ! God willing I will improve.

2 ReactionsYes! My most recent and longest teaser was almost 2 weeks but I’ve now been in a major crash for over 3 weeks. I’ve been in ‘the Covid crud’ since 2020. Normally, it only lasts hours or maybe a day here and there. When it happens, I’m so afraid of when it’s going to end that I’m walking on eggshells the whole time.
It definitely does give us a taste of normal life but then vanishes to leave us helpless again. So devastating!
Amen to that… God willing we all improve SOON!

2 ReactionsSo sorry to hear of your brother’s passing. I can’t imagine your relapse after. Stress of any kind seems to trigger this let alone the death of family. Stay strong my friend.

1 ReactionThe first time this happened to me I thought it was over, then wham. Next time I had hopes, but no dice. After that, I just enjoyed the reprieve. This last time it lasted for over a week. I was scared to hope, but still kind of did. I did too much, and have had the worst couple of weeks yet. Teaser days is the perfect way to describe it. It feels nice & cruel at the same time.
Me too. I’m having some really awful weeks right now.
It’s so bad. I live alone with my 2 dogs. No one gets it.
I too thought I was recovering as I had never had such a long reprieve but I’m now paying severely. I pray to God we come out of this soon.

1 ReactionIt is really rough weeks for me as well, lindy1965.
I have found that since I can't drive anymore, I see my grandchild less. She is the one person that always lights up my life.
I have good days, but far more bad ones.
I was the fixer in most of my family for so long and now I need people to tell me if what I say even makes sense. I feel isolated and alone most days, but find some comfort to find that I am not alone.
Thank you to everyone who shares on here. You never know when you can make a difference by just being supportive and understanding.

4 ReactionsI’m 58 and I don’t have grandchildren or children but I do understand in some way. I am barely driving 5 minutes on a good day to see my Dad who has Alzheimer’s. I feel that he depends on me to light up his life and when I’m like this I can’t do that for him.
I’m currently trying to hire someone to fill my shoes when I’m unable to get to him.
This is very isolating. I am thankful as well to have found this.
Please reach out to me if you’re ever needing someone to hear you. I’ll do my best to respond.
