Welcome @mohavegal,
Here's some info on the possible side effects of Prolia http://www.mayoclinic.org/drugs-supplements/denosumab-subcutaneous-route/side-effects/drg-20074315

Oddly enough, the first side effect on the list is back pain. My mom actually was prescribe Prolia to help with her debilitating back pain and she is now much more mobile, and often pain free. She too was nervous about the side effects, but after 2 years doesn't seem to have any of them. @spiritbird2 started a thread about Prolia here https://connect.mayoclinic.org/discussion/i-have-been-on-prolia-injections-for-2-years-now-my-kidneys/

Did your doctor suggest Prolia for you?

YES,HE STRONGLY SUGGESTED IT AS I HAVE HAD FOUR STRESS FRACTURES IN THREE YEARS...I AM SERIOUSLY CONSIDERING IT, BUT WANTED SOME INPUT FROM OTHERS WHO HAVE TAKEN THIS SHOT.

Allegro, I received my 1st injection today. Wanted to do it with Natural herbs & supplements, but have tried the last 25-30 yrs. With no success. Gave in to my doctor’s wishes. Hoping so much the side effects don’t show up for me.<br />
