Vaginal discharge without infection
Hi everyone,
does anyone have problems with constant white and thick discharge without any vaginal infection? When I’m not using probiotics apt others vaginal suppositories I feel itching and burning. It seems like Candida but all my test were negative. I’ve tested negative on STD’s: mycoplasma, ureaplasma, chlamydia and Ghonorea. Also tested negative on HPV virus and on my bacteriological swab there are not present yeast nor fungi nor pathogen bacterias.
Please if anyone has same problem or if anyone has solved this, let me know…
It’s really frustrating and depressing…

I believe that the person who did all the research and wrote about her self-experience results-- I believe that she bought a vitamin C capsule that is sold as an oral capsule and she used it intravaginally, as you would an "o.b." brand tampon, just with her finger(s). She wrote which brand she used, which she felt was the best choice. Basically, she followed the same steps in the study she cited. She said it does burn some. I have read other places of people having bleeding (spotting) from putting vitamin C up there, but in one case the person was using probably too much-- more than once a day.
I'm not sure but I would be tempted to assume that the reason the study had the participants do the treatment in the days immediately after menstruation might have to do with the fact that the pH of blood is higher than the ideal pH of 4.5 or lower, so that is often a time when things are more likely to get worse.
The person who wrote that she was successful with it also did extra things like taking b complex and other vitamins plus taking the probiotics and prebiotics. I think she wanted to be extra-sure, and I think that was smart.
Did you see the part where she said she took the probiotics and prebiotics at the same time she was doing the antibiotic treatment? She believed that was part of her success, from one of the studies she talks about.
If you get to talk with your doctor about it, idk, it may help to bring along a print-out of what the studies said.

1 ReactionBy the way, I know it sounds weird to put a capsule down there. People do it all the time. When I was having candida from taking antibiotics in my teens, I tried to use whole cloves of garlic that way. It didn't help much and I ended up using the otc drugstore medicine, but it didn't hurt anything.

1 ReactionYes I’ve read it whole.
I’m also using probiotics now but not prebioctis with them. I will try it.
All therapy that I’ve had I’ve started immediately after my period ends.
Im still not quite sure did I have BV because on my swab there is not pathogen or anaerobic bacteria. It says only that the normal bacterial flora has grown. I’ve tested on gardanela and streptococcus but results were negative. I will talk with my doctor about it.
I wanted to try boric acid suppositories for longer period now. Because I’m used it only 10 days and sometimes it looked like the discharge is gone, but when I stopped I saw it again…

3 ReactionsIf you have an option to email your provider, you may want to email them that link, well before your appointment. If not, maybe it'd be good to print it out and give it to them before or at least bring it with you. In fact, it may be handy for you to have it printed out for yourself, too, for reference.

1 ReactionI was noticing that in that vitamin C study, even in the treatment group, there were still 15% who had recurrence. 15% seems like a lot, especially if you're one of them! So I wonder why? Is it sometimes connected to blood sugar? Hormones (too much, too little, too changeable, too . . .?) Allergic or autoimmune type things? Maybe all of those, and other things, too? Maybe it's different for everyone.
And then the really difficult question is the 'why me'? By which I mean it's so hard to know what you can do that will work for you personally.

1 ReactionI forgot to mention that I’ve also done hormonal test and they were ok.
I will try to email my dr.
One question for you: in my country there isn’t boric acid suppositories to buy but I found on eBay micovag suppositories and bought them, they have some % of boric acid and some others ingredients but I’ve read that ph-d boric acid suppositories are the best because they only have 600 mg of boric acid with no additives or additional chemicals/ingredients. I was thinking is it possible to make some of them by using only boric acid and capsule. Not for me to make them but to ask in pharmacy would they make them. I’m not sure is this the same thing and will I get the same effect. What do you think?
For now, ph-d boric acid are only available in USA, and the postage fee is too expensive for my country (over 200$).

1 Reactionhi! this is a very old thread but i was wondering if maybe you found anything that helped with your symptoms. i’ve been having an almost identical issue where all the tests i do come back negative and nothing helps. i was wondering if you did anything to find relief in the hope i can too.
@mkt0782 What are your symptoms with the vaginal discharge? What does your medical provider suggest?
@naturegirl5 i’ve been to a few doctors and they test me every time but evething always come back negative so they tell me to do things im doing anyways like shower daily, wear cotton underwear, use hydrocortisone cream (which occasionally helps) but i want to know the root issue. the other symptoms im having are itching internal and external. and i’ve been told apparently i taste sour? weird i know sorry but it seems important to mention. two weeks ago i saw my gynecologist got tested and they said i was fine and then i went later i went to my urogynecologist and they said they saw the bv bacteria so now they’re treating me for that but im not really any better AND now im spotting. very odd spotty discharge i honestly am at my limit bc no antibiotics have helped me in the past and they won’t now… im in a relationship too so its very hard to be having this issue. sorry i went on a rant. but if you know anything at all that could help im willing to try literally anything. this is so draining its been over a year…
