Good news at my Hemo/oncologist
He walked in my waiting room said you have defied all odds against LGL. My blood work came back looking good.I was diagnosed in June of 2022, had a bone marrow biopsy after 17 tubes of blood taken from me. I was getting labs done every week for 4 months than every 2 weeks, the last 4 weeks it was one time every 4 weeks. Now I go to every 6 weeks, plus a follow up C Scan. I need to be monitored with blood work and visits to see him. I am super happy about that, he did not say I was in remission but that is what I am thinking. I only took prescription Vit b and Folic Acid.
I do need a thyroid biopsy, not happy about that
Thanks for reading my post, Linda

Hi @linepa2002 What fabulous news, Linda!! Don’t you just love when you hear that you’ve defied the odds?! Like Super woman!!
Doctors are hesitant to use that ‘remission’ word but, ‘You’re lookin’ good and feelin’ good’, and your blood work and tests reflect it. I’m a firm believer in our attitudes attributing to our positive outcomes. So congratulations on your wondeful news and thank you for sharing with us! We never know who will gather the hope they need from reading your comment!
When is your thyroid biopsy?
Waiting for a date for the biopsy. have no idea about it. I hope they knock me out.
Have you ever heard of anyone going into remission with these blood cancers? If it happened to me it can happen to you also.
Achieving remission with a blood cancer with no treatment is pretty unusual but miracles can happen every day. We have to keep in mind that remission doesn’t mean cured. But when there is no sign of cancer cells it’s a win/win. ☺️
A friend recently had a thyroid biopsy. The good news is that it was quick and painless. She said the doctor uses ultrasound to guide a super fine needle to the intended site. It’s much smaller than what’s used for blood draws. She had local anesthesia and only felt a little pressure when the ultrasound wand. Easy peasy and then she was done…
Wishing you the best of news and an easy time with your biopsy. ☺️
God bless you.
So, really you are great.
Fight for your life and be happy.

My dr. told me I am not LGl cured but for now I am doing well. I must be watched with appointments and blood work. He was happier than me at that time, When I left it sank in and I was so happy. I was so afraid to take the meds and hope I never get there.
Thank for the info on the nodule biopsy but sure does not sound easy peasy to me, lol.
I also had a thyroid bx. If you've had a bone marrow bx, thyroid bx is a cakewalk. Most of my blood draw pokes are worse than the thyroid was. Think about your good news while it's going on.
It's been a few years but I've had a thyroid biopsy it's easy peasy. If you can do all the philbotomies you got the thyroid biopsy. They totally numb the area and you only feel pressure not pain.
I was glad to read good news.
