@susie23

I was recently diagnosed with bilateral May Thurner Syndrome.
I did not expect to get diagnosed with anything since my goal was to have my extremely painful varicose veins taken care of, and was sent for a MRV since my Vascular surgeon was concerned about the swelling and me telling him about the constant pain I am having...
He did refer me to another specialist who he thought of knowing more about May Thurner Syndrome but I am not so sure about a statement that doctor has made that left me baffled...
I asked him about stenting me to help with the pain and he said he didn't think it would make a difference and he only suggests stenting if a blood clots occurred...he said once I have a blood clots he will stent me but for now he doesn't want to do anything about it.
He did encourage me to go ahead and have my varicose veins taken care of and said it would help with the pain...
I am going to have 8 procedures done this upcoming month to take care of the varicose veins but I still wonder if I should get a third opinion.
Does anyone on here have any experiences with May Thurner Syndrome and thoughts about this?
