You will be well served following Margaret Martin. She has an online presence, puts much on YouTube, has written 3 books related to sequencing of exercise for Osteoporosis depending on your exercise history and osteoporosis status (like if you’ve fractured or not, etc ) she does a monthly live stream focusing on a specific topic each time. Topics she has presented in the last few months were as follows- weight bearing exercise, strength training , psychological and social impacts of osteoporosis. Participants can submit questions before she does it so she can answer them during the live stream. She is so thoughtful and keeps safety in the forefront so you don’t overdo for your particular functioning level. She is hooked up with those in the know in the osteoporosis world , like Clint Rubin who developed the LIV -low intensity vibration platform that people talk about, etc. Good luck as you spring into her world of information. It’s where I got my start of REALLY learning about exercise related to osteoporosis. It was in my 1st endo appt after fracturing that I was told about Margaret Martin. When I asked my endocrinologist to get really specific about the weight bearing exercises I should be doing he stammered around a bit and then replied check out Margaret Martin on YouTube she would be a good source.
