White patches on a septum after ulcer, is it ulcer or mucous healing?
Hello,
I had a nasal ulcer after trip to Arizona 2 weeks ago and I removed a scab 1 week ago. Since then, there are white patches which are not decreasing in size. I used neosporin, lanolin and 2 days ago I was prescribed mupirocin for my boil in a skin. I’m using mupirocin for my septum too. But I’m really worried about these white patches. Is it mucous healing or recurring infection or lesion that should be biopsied? I went to urgent care for my boil and showed my septum too, doctor said just continue to use antibiotics and that’s it. My ENT appointment is not soon. Can GP do biopsy or swab?
Any suggestions, what is it, is it dangerous?
I’m 25 Female, have 2 toddlers.

Hey!
I had the exact same thing and went to my ENT today. He said it is just a thicker spot of mucosal lining. Keep the saline gel on it, don't pick it, and maybe it will go away. But if it doesn't, nothing to worry about.
