@naomikrst the cancer warnings have been lifted. Not a single human has developed sarcoma on Forteo or Tymlos. The info online is outdated. I have had breast cancer but am almost done 2 years on Tymlos, no problems in terms of cancer. If I had metastasis to bones, then that would be a problem with these meds.

I have been researching Forteo (7 weeks of therapy so far) to see if there is risk in stimulating stem cells (it’s anabolic action) while having the myloproliferative disorder, polyceymia Vera. So far I do not see any research in the area but I’m in a very small subgroup and there probably is limited information. It is a dream drug, no side effects, builds bone.

Thank you for responding. At this point unless a miracle happens, I won't be able to do any injections, I do not have thousands of dollars for a 90 day supply of any of the medications. I did a search to find out cash price for a 90 day supply of Forteo and it is $4395. Yet my insurance was covering $5012 and my copay was still $3900. So total cost was $8912.! Somebody is being ripped off!!! All of the injections are in the thousands even with my insurance covering more than half!!
Anyways thanks for responding!
