We have several great medical institutions in our city, both associated with leading Universities with Medical Schools. I have been reading about SCT for about 10 years and wondered if it might help with my condition, that Neurosurgeons(4), Nurologists(3), Physiologists(1), Pain Specialists(7!), and Physical Therapists(5) have not been able to provide more than very temporary relief.
When a New local company started advertising about the wonders of SCT, I was hoping that this area of medicine had advanced enough to help me.
After attending their seminar, it seemed like an elaborate sales pitch and of course, none of it is covered by medical insurance. It was very expensive and after pressing for answers, they admitted that there were no actual Medical Doctors associated with this company. Patients were evaluated by a Chiropractor and Stem Cell injections were done by Nurse Practitioners.
All costs had to be paid in advance with no guarantee of outcome. Since my problem is a Deteriorating Disc Disease in my upper neck, I wasn't about to let them touch me, though I have been seeking relief for decades.
That scenario just seems too risky.
Hoping tremendously that the MAYO CLINIC has done some work in this area and can give me something to hang onto soon.

Hello @jmg7xoptimistic, Welcome to Connect. I know it's frustrating and disappointing when something comes into your sights and seems hopeful only to have it turn out to not be as good as you were hoping for. Since you mentioned deteriorating disc disease in your upper neck, you might want to read through a discussion started by @jenniferhunter here:
