Hi, stage 4 colorectal cancer here
Hi. I am new to the group. My name is Michele and I am located in Florida. I was recently diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer on January 19th 2022.
I am currently on my 7th round of chemo. Is anyone else newly diagnosed with stage 4? Looking for a little support.

In Florida, we went Florida Cancer Center in Venice. In Michigan we go to Beaumont Cancer center. Good luck on your journey. But every time they stop chemo, His CEA levels skyrocket
After I had my surgery, I had to wear an ileostomy bag for 3 months and then had it reversed. I also did experience some other issues from the radiation regarding my sexual organs but at least I'm alive and am able to have some good years with my loving wife yet. We have been married 52 years this August. My wife stood by me all the time during my procedures and was with me during every doctor visit. You are such a fantastic companion while your husband is going through this. Believe me he does appreciate your standing by him through all of this. I know this from experience.
Thank You. Yes he does. Bless you
Praying for both of you🙏🙏🙏🙏♥️♥️♥️
This just happened to my husband and coming here to find answers on what is next. So many questions.
hello, no disrespect by any means , im having a colonostomy tomarrow morning to find out whats going on. hut i am pretty sure what it is. theres a mass the size of a softball pushing against my colon. anyways i am just curious to know what symptoms anyone else had before they officially found out .

I thought I had a gastro issue and hemorrhoids, but it was rectal cancer. I actually went to a gastroenterologist to try to figure out what was going on with my gut. He though cancer was probable but said the only way to find out was a colonoscopy. After the biopsy it was confirmed.
gosh, im so sorry to hear that. how are you doing now ?
I started chemo (12 sessions plus 2 days on chemo pump after each session) and radiation (6 weeks every day) treatment shortly after diagnosis, starting in November 2022. After that treatment my surgeon performed a colonoscopy and said that he can't see any signs of cancer. I have to check again in 5 weeks but it seems that the treatment worked. It was the best news that I have ever received so here's hoping that I get the same result in 5 weeks time.

Are you having a colonoscopy? To see what the problem is? A colonostomy is the surgery where your waste is diverted to a bag attached to your abdomen. That usually comes after diagnosis and surgery. Good luck💗
