How to gain weight after H&N Cancer treatment ends?

My husband completed H&N Cancer treatment 40 days ago. He has lost about 40lbs and we are trying to fatten him up. Any ideas and suggestions are welcome during this recovery time. Thank you.

Even if one gains a little weight such as two pounds (1 kg) a week or perhaps over two weeks, you are going in the right direction. The trick then becomes knowing when to level out and cut back.
I always encourage initially to eat as much of anything you can tolerate. Later on add other foods as your taste and tolerance returns.
There will be foods you probably will never be able to eat again. At least from the green side of the grass, that should not be much of a sacrifice.

Thank you so much for checking in on us! Very thoughtful!
His eyes to knees PET/CT scan turned out completely clear and all issues resolved! We are so happy with this news!!
He continues to fight off a mouth thrush infection but the meds are helping a lot!! Appetite still good and continues to maintain weight. He has added Boost Very High Calorie drinks to his diet.
