Stopped allergy shots around age 20. Briefly tried them after second sinus surgery before I realized I have a traumatic peripheral trigeminal nerve injury.

Amitriptyline was ineffective along with every other trigeminal neuralgia and migraine medication.

Multifactorial, yes, after 60 doctors I have exhausted the list of treatment options and feel an implanted spinal cord stimulator would give me some quality of life.

I understand and I truly hope you can find peace and some type of resolution….

I’m curious-not that it matters long after the fact, but do you recall dealing with anything different in 2016 that brought on new stressors or changes?

Surgery for you might not have been the cause, but for many others whom share these same complaints post surgery, it validates just how powerful t these nerves are.

This is why I am very outspoken on these sites for people to really think and access he risks of these intranasal surgeries.

You don’t have to look too far now, thanks to internet access to find all sorts of stories from others and documented in literature to know the neuropathies that can occur.

It is very few and far between a nose should truly be messed with. It’s sad an unfortunate that more don’t know this before an ENT consult.
