I feel like I'm dying
i am a healthy (I thought) 43 year old female. 2 weeks ago I was at work. Stood up. Got this pulled muscle sensation in my back around my bra strap area. I then proceeded to have chest pain, shortness of breath, flushed, sensation of hot liquid seeping out into my chest, dizziness, and numb and tingly all over my body. I felt like I was gonna pass out or die. I was rushed to the ER. After several tests, and an overnight stay, they discharged me the next day with Synthroid (thyroid just a tad low) and Flexeril for my back pain. I still had the shortness of breath. But they assured me my heart and lungs were fine. Did not do any x-rays or anything for my back. The next day I was pretty much laid out at home due to the flexeril. The following day, I decided to go back to work. Got up, took a shower, then I started having all the same symptoms as before. I had my son take me to the ER again. They did several tests, said my heart and lungs were fine. The doctor diagnosed me with GERD, and sent me home with Prilosec. I took Prilosec for 4 days, then my PCP had me try Protonix, which by the way, both of these gave me horrible side effects (confusion, delirium-hallucinations) and were not helping my stomach pain and nausea. So, she started me on Zantac, which worked wonders the first couple of days, but seems to have worn off now too. Also, after numerous testing, doctor said my Vitamin D was low, was 11, and should be between 30-80. So I started taking Vitamin D3--400 units. 2 weeks later, I have been to the ER three times, had an endoscopy just yesterday (doctor said everything looked fine, but sending off stomach sample for biopsy). Still taking Zantac, and Vitamin D. Trying to eat more foods rich in Vitamin D and calcium. I continue to have nausea, stomach pains, body very weak, losing weight, diarrhea, dizziness, flushed and feel like passing out. I can't sleep, and feel very dehydrated. Every morning I feel like I'm dying with these symptoms. It feels as though it hurts from deep inside my muscles or bones, even my joints in my fingers and elbows hurt. Closer to noon, I feel a little better, try to eat a little something, then it starts all over around 9 or 10 in the evening, and keeping me up all night. I WAS TOTALLY FINE UNTIL 2 WEEKS AGO, THEN ALL THIS STARTED HAPPENING. CAN SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE? I DON'T KNOW WHAT ELSE TO DO. I FEEL LIKE I'M JUST GONNA SHRIVEL UP AND DIE.

I wonder what happened to this person. There certainly was enough rabbit holes she was given to lose herself in . yet, so many had similar issues. Heart Dr, Chiropractic, Abdomen GI disease Dr, Lupus, On AND on AND on, poot woman.
Did you find cause? This happens all day to me. Recently had convulsions. I'm terrified. I feel like I'm dying
I too have many of your symptoms. I'm trying to ingest as much as possible, am taking budesonide to calm the inflammation, and feel that anxiety/weak/ shakiness in the morning also. I too thought I was dying.
I wish you good luck , and please share if you have found any answers.
Feel better 🙂
First you stated your thyroid was checked in the ER. Did you have thyroid issues prior to this episode? You said thyroid was a tad low.. assuming they they did a TSH a low TSH level means your thyroid is hyperactive.. a high TSH mean you are Hypothyroid. Giving you synthroid. So I would assume that you are Hypothyroid which is for 90% of thyroid issues from an autoimmune disease called Hashimoto . If you actually have this and have not been treated you will need thyroid meds forever to control it You need thyroid antibodies to confirm ... Many of your symptoms stem from this... You have low Vit D.. another indicator of thyroid issues.. yours is very low. You need at least 5000IU daily and will continue to need to adjust this as it goes up.. Vit D deficiency can cause some of these symptoms including depression, anxiety, joint pain , insomnia... But so can hypothyroidism.. Next.. people who have Hashimoto also have gut issues, IBS is one of the more prevalent ones. With this you also can have GERD and LPR or both. Fibromyalgia is the next culprit that stems from Hypothyroidism.. Fibromyalgia also cause depression, anxiety, pains all over your body, weird sensations, vertigo, itching ( fibro itch) is deep, crawling tingling sensation , burning under you skin. You can have numbness, headaches and pain anywhere it decides to show up. It is a nerve disorder and many people have it that have Hashimoto.. you can get chest pain and odd feelings in your back or anywhere.. fatigue, brain fog, stomach issues are all symptoms of Hashimoto and fibro. You need to start with an endocrinologist and have them do thyroid antibodies . There are 18 pressure points in your body for fibro . When you press on one of these it elicits pain.. deep burning pain or sharp or dull.. look up on goggle where the pressure points are throughout your body. Stress and anxiety can bring a fibro flare on. .. Based on what you are saying you re a classic example of someone who has all of the above that has come to a head.. it is not easy to find a doctor who will listen and do the appropriate tests... As you can see by your ER visits you were given pills for what they think you have but did not delve into everything that comes with these disorders. If you can't get help from traditional medicine find an intergrative doctor, naturopath, holistic medicine. They understand these diseases better than anyone.. you will have to do the leg work. Look up Hashimoto symptoms, fibromyalgia, low Vit D and see the correlation that exists when you have one or all of them.... I speak from experience.. I have all of them Hashimoto, fibro, IBS, low Vit D, anxiety, depression, whole body pain or sometimes just one area . This is the best advice I can give you. I also have GERD and LPR which is also common with people who have all of the above. Doctors will not give you what you need so be proactive... Good luck... I hope you find a good doctor , one who will listen and go outside the box ..
I just read the date.. 2012? Why bring something up from 11 yrs ago.... And post it now... Well I. Hope my info can help someone else on here.. trust your body.. it doesn't lie.. don't let doctors treat you like you are crazy cause that is what they will do.. good luck eveyone
Sounds like me, I went through this type of thing for 6 months until I tried changing my diet- turns out I’m allergic to many foods brought on by too many antibiotics. Try gluten free, low fiber high protein.
I was in bed many days., brain fog diarrhea from my digestive tract being burned by antibiotics. If you’ve taken antibiotics recently this may be your problem. It’s been awful and I just switched to the low fiber which really turned the corner for me
Have you gotten a second opinion to see what might be going on that the other Drs could not find. I have found out that you have to research and find a good Dr on your on
I have had similar symptoms after the covid booster! 5 Doctors and every test under the sun except swallowing a camera! Nothing found. Taking my husband to a neurologist I know from boards at the local hospital. He saw my discomfort, told about all my tests. He said I had abdominal migraines and prescribed Nurtec otd. Miracle drug. 6 months later much improvement. Keep looking!
