Epiretinal Membrane (ERM) abnormal progression rate?

Hi John,

The information you shared is much appreciated.
I will be going over the operation procedures with my surgeon's team next week, hopefully they will have some encouraging numbers on the success rates. My main concern is the chance of reoccurrence; Especially when the ERM has progressed so fast in such a short period. I am in this constant anxiety that even if I do the surgery another layer of ERM will reappear. Would you happen to know any members who have gone through the same process?

Thank you so much John!

I wasn't able to find any members who have posted about having an ERM peel. There was another article I found that may help but I'm not sure.

I know I am replying to an old post, however, I have been diagnosed with a epiretinal membrane which so far makes my vision a little blurry and I have to look at some things with my eye closed, relying on the other eye. I have seen a specialist who says he can't operate because of scar tissue in the eye. Have you heard of this? I'm very worried as the vision in my eye is getting worse.
Thank you and I hope everything went well for you.
