Has anyone had an ultrasound guided needle biopsy for diagnosis?
I am scheduled for a breast exam and mammogram. They have also scheduled a possible ultrasound guided biopsy in case they see something. I’ve only had a stereotactic needle biopsy and would like to know what to expect. Thanks.

Hi! Like everyone else is saying ultrasound guided biopsy is easy and really painless.
I had an ultrasound guided biopsy because of a lump I found. The diagnosis was ADH (atypical ductal hyperplasia) - no cancer detected) Recommendation was to remove the lump because of it's size and the biopsy could have missed ca cer. I'm reluctant to do that because in my research I found a very small % of women with this diagnosis go on to contract cancer. Has anyone with dense breasts (that's me) had a molecular breast imaging test (MBI)? It's know for detecting cancer that may have been missed by a mammogram. It seems that might be a good move prior to removal. Input appreciated.
@californiazebra I saw your explanation/treatment somewhere else - another comment. Thx!
