Take the liquid you bought! I went to emergency room and was told I was full of s—-and they gave me something and did not work. After prunes, laxatives I finally bought the liquid bottle and it immediately worked!!!!

I can only speak from my experience. My functional medicine doctor, using traditional lab tests, helped my Sjogerns and osteoporosis more than my rheumatologist did. She used the 4 Rs of gut healing and I am thankful that I chose this path for my healing. I take no prescription drugs, use food and well thought out supplementation to keep my conditions in check. I will always believe that “leaky gut” is real. Science will eventually catch up and prove this. One of my favorite quotes by Hippocrates …
“Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food”

Amen to that.🙏 I am a believer in that motto! After many tests and upper endoscopy and colonoscopy, my Gastro put me on low FODMAP diet, no drugs, and I am on a regular work out program, weights., swimming, Zumba, treadmill. Very restrictive on what I eat, but at the point now I can have a spoonful of Cookies and Cream every once in awhile….yummm.! So happy for u and wishing u many blessings. NOW, U can feel somewhat normal, and u have a name for it, so u can tackle this and find what works for you❤️.

@tabithatwitch, @baz, and all...I'm so sorry you folks are having such a tough time with this. I've suffered from IBD, diarrhea for most of my adult life, often very difficult to control, and then constipation for the last several years. A doctor at Mayo helped me tremendously when he diagnosed a leaky gut which is actually a legitimate problem. He referred me to Probulin, an excellent probiotic I buy online from Research Verified. This has changed my life! I was taking an over-the-counter probiotic but this is miraculous. I take one capsule nightly and no longer have the constant issues I did for decades.

I will tell you I bought Dr. Gundry's biome supplements and take them now. I've had good results. I'm not sure if I'll reorder, but probably not as I think the Probulin is truly excellent and doing the job I need. I also take a UTI supplement from Research Verified as I was having 3-5 UTIs every year, one with sepsis, and all quite difficult to treat. I began having problems with antibiotics due to this constant use and was even prescribed antibiotics prophylactically. I now handle the antibiotic issue with my own solution...at the first sign of diarrhea, I take a Lamotil and begin taking a 2nd Probulin in the morning, 2 daily as long as I take antibiotics. This enables me to take the necessary medications and the added supplement for UTIs works wonders as well. I've only had one this year! That's a record.

I hope some of this may help someone as you go through this crazy health journey. Blessings, elizabeth

@jord, @tabithatwitch, and all...I'm so sorry your mother is having these issues as well as so many others. It's not fun and can be disabling as well. BTW: you said your mother is 'old'...please, please find other words to use for us older folks. My son all too frequently that I'm an old woman, etc. I take offense at that and it doesn't make me feel loved or healthy or good in any way. Your mom may not have those reactions, but bet inside she'd prefer a different phrase...I like older, older middle age, fierce older woman!!! We are, you know. Fierce. At least inside and many of us are also fierce through and through, or we wouldn't be OLD!

Enough of my soap box...I get my UTI supplement from the same company I've gotten the Probulin, probiotic. I decided since it's the same company, I was fairly safe taking it and gave it one bottle try. I'm now taking it every day, 2X. I'm experiencing a UTI now and am on Macrobid. Doing the same thing I do with antibiotics...adding an additional probiotic in the morning as well as at night, and if I develop diarrhea, I'll take a Lomotil daily until I don't need it. That's my system approved by the PCP and others.

I hope she can find help with this supplement. It's full of all the herbs and fruits we're told to load up on to avoid UTIs but rarely can do that. So, this is good for me. This is the 2nd UTI so far this year. Definitely an improvement. Drinking a lot of water, and eating some but not really hungry, so just enough to know I'll be ok.

Blessings. Elizabeth

@jord...I neglected to mention the company where I get the UTI supplement! Oops...'cause I'm so old!
Research Verified is an online supplement company. So far, the items I've used from them have worked well. UTI, Anemia. Hope this helps.

Hi Lizzy,
“cause I'm so old!”
Senior, not “old”

I am unsure why I am grouped in with this reply. My mother has been deceased since 2011 and I would never refer to anyone as "old" unless I was referring to myself. My prolapsed surgery I went through last October failed.. it's worse than it ever was now. The new surgeon I saw last week says I need it scheduled, but I just received a 90 vacate notice on this apartment so I have to move. It's going to be very rough to move all these things into storage and it's looks like I may need to go to a shelter, I am very sick from this failed surgery and there is no one to help me. I have no friends or family that can help me. It's like having no friends or family at all and the way I am feeling is those relationships are forever changed now and will not survive.

I take a cranberry supplement called "Utiva" which contains 36 PAC's - the amount necessary to keep bacteria from sticking to the bladder. I also take Florastor probiotic and a prescription medication called "methenamine mandelate" which is an anti-infective medication - not an antibiotic. I take it along with 500 mg of Vitamin C. It keeps the urine acid which does not allow bacteria to grow. It is very safe and has been around for years and doctors are now starting to use it more often. Hope this helps.
