@jwatzig You may be describing "floaters" and everyone has them because they are formed because of tissue that is part of the development of the eye and is no longer useful at maturity. That is kind of how my eye doctor explained it. I see those are a twisted piece of cobweb or fuzz that wanders around. The other possibility is that the vitreous humor (jelly like) can detach inside the fluid of the eyeball and move around. I have that and I see that as a moving diffuse area that looks foggy but lets light through it. It moves if I move my eyes, and it settles down when my gaze steady. That commonly happens with aging. The eye has the Aqueos Humor which is fluid and the Vitreous Humor which is thicker and jelly like that is attached.

This link shows some age related eye conditions and describes floaters. It you go to the next page of it, it shows what vision with floaters looks like.

This link talks about vitreous detachment.

Do these conditions seem similar to what you are experiencing?

No, i wish it was just that.
What I see is nothing like floaters, and the the eye specialists i have seen have ruled that out.
And they are not just flashes of light that have been another thing suggested to me. These are light shapes that travel in my peripheral vision. Actually, as i just typed this, a shape split into two shapes and traveled by me. Thanks for taking the time to reply to my previous post, I am hoping someone sees this and has had the same thing and an answer for it. This started when I was a week into some bad Covid back in Aug. 2021, almost 2 years now! If nothing else, it does feel good to be able to vent to someone about this. Thanks
