Do you have an inspiring or favorite quote to share?
I'll start with three quotes from the very inspiring Helen Keller as noted in "Your Year of Healing" book by Amit Sood, MD:
"Although the world is full of suffering, it is also full of the overcoming of it."
"The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched -- they must be felt with the heart."
"Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much."

What a lovely attitude to share!
It's the journey.
Failure is not fatal; success is not final; never give up
This is a quote from Winston Churchill.
During World War One, he failed horribly at the battle of Gallipoli.
He fell into a depression, which he called "the black dog," but he got his act together somehow, brushed himself off, and co-led the Allied efforts in World War Two.
During the Battle of Britain and during the entire war, he never gave up.
If he can do it, then so can I! I'm not fighting the entire world, just my body!
"I awoke this morning with devout thanksgiving for my friends, the old and the new." -- Ralph Waldo Emerson
Anne,
Even though it's easier said than done, try embracing your body for the good it has given you, instead of fighting it. Try meditating on all those benefits that your physical body has provided to you. You may very well surprise yourself.
We know from personal experience that pain, physical limitations, and disabilities can be stressful. We may not be able to eliminate those things, but we can learn to manage them. That means accepting what we can't change and maximizing the rest. For example, you have a sense of humor, and laughter helps.
All of which brings me to another favorite quote:
Gravity doesn't care.
“The only thing stronger than fear, is hope.”
Today is my 4th Rebirth Day with my bone marrow transplant. ☺️
You are a Happy Badger.
Very helpful. I'm fifty years into a tiring disability, but I look at myself in the mirror and say hi to my body...that bore a child who is a marvelous woman, that is able to love, stretch, dance, cuddle...entertain a grand baby who thinks my saggy underarms are warm and reassuring. Love your quote which reminds me of the bumper sticker--Gravity: it's a good idea and it's the law!
Happy rebirth day!
"No matter how old some people get, they never seem to lose their attractiveness. They merely move it from their faces to their hearts."
