Has anybody tried non force chiropractors?

Hi Marilyn @1942marilyne, You will notice that we added to your discussion title to hopefully allow members with PMR who have chiropractor treatments for relief can find the discussion and share their experience. I was not able to find any research on the topic but did see some advertising on non force chiropractic treatment. I've had 2 occurrences of PMR which were resolved with prednisone to control the inflammation and pain. For me, I don't think it would have helped much if any but do think it may have provided some temporary relief.

I am 3 years on prednisone and back to 10 mg QDay. So willing to try something

I would suggest calling the different 'crackers' to quiz them regarding their knowledge of PMR. Like John, I have very little pain except when I take a late dose. PMR being inflammatory, perhaps if they have a whirlpool or sauna, that would help more than joints being manipulated. Just my guess.

I have an excellent chiropractor who is very gentle and incorporates a variety of modalities including supplements. Everything she does/recs is intended to be of short duration. I went to her a couple times when symptomatic but not yet diagnosed and while probably helped a bit, not enough to pursue. That said, I have sent her my bloodwork and she is interested in helping and I am considering it esp because I believe she will likely rec some supplements to support adrenal function from Standard Brands which I can probably only get from her. But not quite ready to pursue as want to see how things progress.

I am taking vitamin D3 and fish oil. I have magnesium on my shopping list to hopefully ease the foot/toes morning cramping.

I have tried but personally, I have a great Chiropractor (Kinesiology) expert, and much like all “fixes” it works for awhile. Thanks for the question.
