Floater in back with sharp edges

Wondering if anyone has had this problem or have heard of someone with it. It started almost 6 months ago. I could find it and feel it when it first appeared. It has since moved upward and is lodged between my spine and shoulder blade. When I happen to move wrong and move it, I get a very sharp pain. It feels like a piece with sharp edges that poke me.
PA told me it was a connector for my stimulator and I would learn to live with it. Last time I saw him, he told me that the connector was stitched down and could not possibly be moving like I described...
