Taper and d/c of Wellbutrin XL

I've been taking Wellbutrin XL for 12 years. One Dr. tried to reduce it and I started to have black out panic attacks. Be very careful. Why do you want off it?

I did the same thing with Paxil. I had been on it since 2002 and in 2023 my Dr tried tapering my dose down. I started at 40 mg and got to 20mg before feelings of depression returned.

Why quit something if it helps, especially with the utter horror of panic attacks? If Wellbutrin is helping you as Paxil has helped me, well then I see no need to stop.

I understand what panic attacks feel like, as well as depression and OCD. Paxil and talk therapy have helped with all. Why change anything that is working so well?
