@cherylgeo

I have lots of problems. .
I had a crainiotomy 5 years ago due to an aneurysm that I had clipped
Degenerative dic disease
Spinal stenosis in one leg
Ehlers danlos type 4
Rhumatoid arthritis.
Anemia and thrombocytopenia
Cirrhosis of my liver
And now this problem for over 2 years
I had a blood transfusion two weeks ago as my full blood count was 75.
I've had 2 platelet transfusion before dentistry
I feel so down and exhausted.
I'm under a haematology consultant but havnt been able to see him for over a year as uk is very problematic right now
I could cry right now writing this as I can't get anyone to listen to me. I'm frightened and I was a fit young woman in the army years ago.
I'm now 58 and I feel like I will never have a life with this horrible bleeding. I truly appreciate the messages on here already. Thankyou.

Oh my goodness, Cheryl, you are in a world of hurt. I wish I could reach through this computer to give you a hug. You’ve been through so much medically in your life already and that alone is stressful and draining. I’m so sorry you haven’t been able to get in to see your hematologist for over a year! I can only imagine how hopeless and abandoned you must be feeling.
This level of bleeding you’re having isn’t normal and can be quite dangerous if you cut yourself or have any internal bleeding. Is there anyway to get an emergency consultation? You were in the army, are there any veteran services that could assist you in getting some medical help?

@cherylgeo One other thing I wanted to mention, there is a Mayo Clinic based in London. You may wish to request an appointment to be seen there if it’s at all feasible for you. Mayo is an experience like no other and they offer hope.

Here is the website for the London based clinic. You’ll see a Request Appointment prompt, first thing on the page.

What do you think? This is another option for you other than your usual medical care in the UK.
