Are you taking Reclast for osteoporosis?

I took Forteo for 2 years from 2016 - 2018 and had fantastic results, moving from severe post-menopausal osteoporosis to osteopenia or better. Unfortunately, I wasn't approved for Prolia afterwards and I didn't want to go on bisphosphonates, so I tried to maintain my bone density through exercise, giving up sodas, etc. Because of other health issues (brain surgery!), I let things slide to a point this year when my numbers were as bad as or worse than they were in 2016. I was approved for Tymlos, which is more convenient than Forteo was, since it doesn't have to be refrigerated. I haven't had a follow-up scan yet (it's been only 5 months), but I'm keeping my fingers crossed. There are no easy answers for treatment, unfortunately.

@tucsonnancy thank you so much for posting this. I am sorry that happened to you but your story is very helpful to me and probably others. I am about to finish my first 18 months of Tymlos and like you, have had excellent gains. I have several spinal fractures and do not want to go backwards! Good luck with the Tymlos!
