Tinnitus and covid vaccine

Posted by mabbs24 @mabbs24, Nov 6, 2021

I wonder if anyone had their tinnitus increase after their covid vaccine? I had the Johnson & Johnson vaccine in March with no change to my tinnitus. I am scheduled to receive the Pfizer booster next week. I read that there were cases of tinnitus getting worse after having the Pfizer vaccine. Did anyone here have that experience? I'm having anxiety just thinking about my tinnitus increasing!

Hi Everyone

Has anyone heard of anyone trying the Linire device for treating tinnitus.

Was there any good feedback or information.

I need some hope.

I am not familiar with this device, but I did look it up online. The information I found indicated the device used could be returned. It might be worth trying. Of course everything purchased online like this is a 'buyer beware' situation.

Tinnitus is so common. Some are merely inconvenienced by it while others are deeply bothered by it. Some find support through diet change, environmental change, hearing aids that mask the tinnitus, etc. There is research going on in medicine, but no known cure so far.

NOTE: The Hearing Healthcare Foundation is involved in several tinnitus research studies. http://www.hhf.org

Learning from one another can be very helpful, but keep in mind that we are all different.

If anyone has used the Linire device, please share your experience with it; both good and not so good.

I remember that podcast really well. He said his hearing went back to normal, and no tinnitus.

I had Mederna and booster. After the second shot my ears started to buzz. I thought an electric plug was shorting out or the tv was buzzing. Once I put my hands over my ears I realized it was tinnitus. I've never experienced it before. I can barely hear the waves while standing on the beach. I can't hear my husband while sitting next to each other. I've cried my eyes out & punched pillows. I'm so frustrated.

Have there been any advancements regarding Covid-induced hearing loss. I noticed ( unexplained) hearing loss within two weeks of a positive Covid 19 test...It has been going downhill ever since! I have spent thousands of dollars trying to find help with my hearing issues.
Are there any treatments available for my condition? It is extremely isolating and in most cases, I find myself sitting with family/friends and having no interaction due to my hearing loss.

My sister had the original Moderna vaccine and after the second shot her mild tinnitus became much worse and she developed Hyperacussis. ( I have had all the Pfizer shots with no problem. )
Her tinnitus has caused major life style changes and she can no longer play the piano, use a sewing machine, cross country ski, etc etc!
She now gets the Novavax vaccine. It is based on protein subunit as opposed to the messenger RNA used in Moderna and Pfizer.

I developed tinnitus the day after I went to therapy for vertigo. I returned hoe and vomited for 2 days then ended up with tinnitus that has never left. I have hearing loss and went to Beltone and got hearing aids that has helped me tremendously. Has not left completely but a lot lot better. As for vaccines I took the first 2 and will never again take them. Took Moderna.
