Thank you so much for the reply. I'm actually reading those posts now.
Yes, I have heard of MFR and am now working with a massage therapist. It's extremely painful and Im not sure I can tolerate it.
I'm in NY and can't find a surgeon that does scar tissue removal! I've been to many and if the replacement hasn't failed they're not interested.

You are right, orthopedic surgeons are typically not very interested in the secondary effects like scar tissue. They feel like the job is done when the implant heals. I would suggest talking to your massage therapist or a physical therapist for a referral to a laparascopic or plastic surgeon if MFR, ultrasound and other conservative treatments fail. Typically the scarring is not in/on the bone itself, but on muscle and other connective tissue. It becomes a real problem when it is inflexible, or when it entraps nerves.
