Fibromyalgia Pain + Cymbalta
My doctor had me on Cymbalta 60mg once a day and Gabapentin 300 mg at night. I recently quit taking them both because of weight gain . Since quitting the Cymbalta, I hate the feeling! Brain fog, irritability, not sleeping. Anyone else have weight gain ? And does anyone else take more than 60 mg for fibromyalgia?? I was told that was limit for pain use.

Why did you stop taking gabapentin and did you have withdrawal problems when you went off it?
Since 2017,1200 mg daily,no weight gain,, only thing to stop nerve pain in breasts after open heart and infection, also for fibro
What are internal vibrations that you're referring to like the shakes or being nervous let me know
Because I couldn't tell any difference with my pain. I don't recall any problems. I'm only taking it now because of my internal vibrations. I've had them since 2019 and my neurologist thinks it's from an overactive central nervous system. When I told my pain management doctor about the Fycompa my neurologist wanted to put me on, a pediatric dose, I researched it and decided against it. He then told me it was similar to gabapentin and Lyrica so I started taking it again and so far the vibrations have stopped. I may have had 1 or 2 at a level 2 but nothing like they were. At a 10 they'd wake me and I thought one of my cats jumped on the bed but it was me vibrating. If the gabapentin can help with the nerve issues in my legs then that's a plus but I'm more concerned with the vibrations. I'd love to sleep past 3:00.
No. I actually feels like you have swallowed something that vibrates. Mine are mostly in my torso area and I can lay my hand on my side when they are a level 7 and higher and actually feel the vibrations. Sometimes they are in my pelvic area and if a level 1 or 2 I can usually turn over and go back to sleep. There is no mistaking them. There is a group on here and sometimes the topic will come up with new info on internal vibrations. Some people have them in their head, feet, arms, different areas. They are more annoying than anything but I'd still like to know what's causing them. It isn't like shaking or nerves. It's a vibration and it's coming from inside you. It's so weird.
Weird certainly would cover it I'd have to find out what it is that's like having an Invasion of the Body Snatchers continue on your search to find out what it is maybe it would help find out there are so many other people out there that have this you have a blessed day thanks for your reply
