Anyone taken Evenity (romosozumab) for Osteoporosis?
Has anyone taken Evenity? I understand it’s only been on the market for a little over a year. I’m hoping it will help with my severe osteoporosis. Any information is helpful.

Both Reclast and Prolia potentially affect dental issues but ask you doc, because I have read it is relatively rare and usually after a longer time on it.
My doc would do one Reclast and monitor to see if and when any more is needed. Reclast stays in the system longer than Prolia.
My question, which you can ask your doc, is how long would you have to be on Prolia to "lock in" gains and would you have to do Reclast after Prolia anyway?
My doc won't prescribe Prolia because of the drop off in bone density when stopped and increased risk of fracture. He joked that maybe he would prescribe it at the end of his career so he didn't have to deal with the end of the course of Prolia!
Thank you. --Diane Stanley
I am having my 5th evenity shot this week. I have not really had any side effects other than knee joint pain which may be unrelated. I was wondering how you felt and if there was any difference the more injections you had. I too have concerns about what I will do next.
A question is there anyone who has any kind of arthritis found it increased after Evenity?
I have been wondering about that with Tymlos too. It makes sense that these drugs might increase bone spurs, but I don't know if they do.
I have gotten some insomnia during the last half of the shots but don't know if that is related. These shots have not been bad for me at all.
Happy to hear that. I am worried about the next step. Do you think they have helped?
Hi Everyone
I had my 5th evenity injection today. Anyone have suggestions what I can take when I have muscle cramps night. I am also having pain in my hip and headaches.
Thank you Arely
I just received the results of my DXA scan & labwork two days ago & met with a provider in Bone Health Clinic. Result is osteoporosis. Provider is seeking pre-approval for Evenity. I read the hand-outs but this discussion group has given me more information regarding details, which I appreciate. Didn't realize there are two injections per visit; why are there two? And is drinking protein shakes a "usual" part of treatment along with supplements? Thanks
I don't know if this will help you with your muscle cramps and the pain that you are having: my suggestions would be to be very well hydrated the day before, and the day of the injections. Also are you taking Magnesium, I take 500mg every evening and was told this could help with muscle cramps. I do take Motrin or Tylenol for my headaches which usually last 3-4 days. I will have my 5th injection soon also.
