Vasculitis Foundation Symposium – July 14-16, 2023

The patient-focused VF International Vasculitis Symposium is next month in Chicago. Are other Mayo Connect folks planning on in-person or online participation?

I'm always interested in learning...to help myself and others. If this is open to the public, my qualification for attendance would be as someone with vasculitis in the form of cranial GCA. Because of lack of awareness of this disease among many physicians, it was only after losing sight in one eye that I was diagnosed. After three years of Prednisone and Actemra, I am now taking 3 mg daily, along with weekly injections.

I do attend Zoom seminars in the UK. My primary concern is increasing awareness of all autoimmune diseases. I'm very interested to have an opportunity to learn.💞

2. I was able to register for in-person attendance without being a VF member
VF seems to have set the program for online talks: https://us9.campaign-archive.com/?u=742bd3451ee32e2d51f8625dd&id=0a82dd81e9
The in-person topics and schedule are still listed as “preliminary” https://www.vasculitisfoundation.org/2023-vasculitis-symposium/

Thanks so much, @2catmom. That is a great deal of helpful information. That will be wonderful to be there in person. Hopefully, I can listen to a great deal on Zoom or whatever setup they have. Since I'm relatively new to Mayo Connect...and don't want to lose all that you shared...I'll copy and paste your post into Google Docs and do some research.
I live in northwestern Indiana, but I know I couldn't do it physically, especially since I'll just be returning from a trip.
